Last week after work, I was sitting at LauPa Sat with W.
Behind me, there was a drunken uncle, seated with a jug of beer with some of his friends. Well, I ‘accidentally’ heard of their conversation (come on… the uncle voice is real loud!). And I’m simply amazed by the ‘continuous-unstoppable-strings’ of ranting he ‘presented’ to his friends.
I mean… the uncle just goes “you know ah… hiks… she never wrong one…hiks…everything she said is correct one lah… hiks… #@%$&@... hiks…blah blah blah blah…hiks…blah blah blah blah… hiks… and there goes on and on… and on… and on…
To be honest, it’s not the first time I heard people complaining. But this uncle just amazed me, we’re sitting there for almost an hour and the uncle just keep ranting and ranting and ranting about the same thing!
In the end, I turned to W and said, “You know what. I realize something. Complain = saying the same sentences again and again and again. They just use different structure and grammars to present it one after another.” W laughed hard and said, “It’s so true!!”. LOL…
Well, I find it amusing that how people (especially those living in Singapore... =P) loves to complain. I heard from radio few days ago that there’s someone who complained that why the HelixBridge did not have a roof to shade the pedestrians from rain or sun. Duh… I guess that the purpose of everything exists in Singapore is to become an object for people to complain about. Heh~~~
Right… It doesn’t mean that I’ve never complained before. I do complain when the pressure is there or when I think that I was treated unfairly. But yeah… If one day I started to sit down at a coffee shop with a jug of beer in front of me and keep ranting about how bad is my boss, God… please remind me of what I’ve blogged today. AMEN~~~
Went to Boat Quay with W tonight. At first, I was quite reluctant to go since it's Monday morning (people tend to get tired on Monday night, speaking of which mostly is not because of work but because of the 'bluess'... =P)
Two years in Singapore, I went to Boat Quay just once. And it's during lunch time which we actually just sort of pass by... At first, I expected Boat Quay to be like Clark Quay where there's a lot of bars and restaurant with a lot of ang moh around. To my surprise, it's not (guess that's because it's weekdays?).
The environment there is really relaxing and (I would say) classic. There are a few Bars around which has live performance. So basically the two of us just get something from 7 eleven and seat outside a bar with live performance (we get to listen for free!!) enjoying the music. After that, we just seat (at the floor... =P) facing the river for around 1 to 2 hours... starring at the river and sky... right… it might sound dumb, but I actually enjoyed it a lot!!
Heh~~ What I'm trying to say is, it feel really great when I can just get away from the social & working life , sat there and basically do nothing... I really love this 'getaway' activity... Guess I’ll be going back there someday for another 'getaway'... Right... I think I'm started to see ADHD symptoms in me... =P
Taiwan/HK artist seems to be flocking to S'pore holding concert after concert. Starting from March - Apr, there's 萧敬腾 followed by 鄭秀文 and now Mayday & S.H.E are holding their concert on the same date. The venue even just beside each other. Imagine the traffic after and before the concert if the circle line do not start to operate on the same date itself. Well.... I don't think it's helping much with thousands and thousands of audiences going to their concert (I'm one of them... =P)
Come May - July, 羅志祥 gonna hold his concert followed by 周杰倫 on July. Talking about 周杰倫's concert, I'm sorry but I just did not see what's great about him that they decided to sell the ticket in such a heavenly price. And the tix was sold out in the mere 2 hours!! Well... that's the power of devoted fans (my bro is one of them)!
Fyuh~~ The artists came to fork the money out from our wallet by the mere two hours performances. But the ironic thing is, we (the devoted fans) willingly fork out the hard earn money for the two hours performances. Well... That's why it's called "entertainment". You pay the price to get "entertained" by them for two hours. And you might have to eat at hawkers for the rest of the month to pay for that two hours of entertainment.
It's ironic but this is life... What's good about life if you don't enjoy it right?? Some people are willing to spend thousands on branded bag and clothes. Some ppl are willing to spend ten of thousands on cars. And some ppl like us are willing to spend hundreds to be entertained by music and dances. Nothing wrong for that. Cheers!!!
P.S: The two concert I'm looking forward to be entertained by them. ;D
I have watched a lot (and fast forwarded a lot =P) of Korean Dramas.
I stumbled upon this drama online one day and this drama is simply amazing! This drama is just... different...
I never pressed the "fast forward" button when I watch this drama (I pressed the fast forward button countless time when I watch "Boys Over Flowers"... XD).
This drama is really educational (for girls especially...) and it depicts the bonding between mothers and their babies. The story line is marvelous. Every episode tells a different stories between the doctors and their patients. From heart breaking story to a touching story to a happy ending story.
I admit that all the bloody scene is a bit gross, but you'll get used to it cos they have it in almost every eps... Hahaha...
But all in all, Wonderful cast + great story line = A MUST WATCH!!! ;D
Few months back, I was thinking of getting myself a new notebook. My heart is craving for a Macbook. Well, the reason is silly enough. I want to get real comfy when I can play with my notebook while sitting on an air-conditioned room, laying on my bed. I mean... it's normal idea for everybody if they have their set of PC located at the living room, where you have to sit there the whole day getting all stuffy and sweaty bcos of the hot weather. Right? Right? Hahhaa... =P
But after all the consideration (financial consideration to be exactly), I gave up the notebook thinggy. Few days ago, I went to the IT Show. My hand is still itchy to touch the Macbook. I have to drag myself far far away from any Apple retailer booth. And as I walk, my eyes landed on a booth selling wireless keyboard and mouse. An idea just pop into my head and.... tadah~~~
I just move my whole computer set to my room! I bought a coffee table from IKEA (they're having big sale, I got this table just for SGD 29). After "setting up" the table, I shifted my whole computer set. And man... It's not easy. I forgot that if I shift my PC, I have to shift along the printer, modem, router, speaker and the house phone (I basically wrecked the phone when I accidentally smash it. Whoops~~). And not to forget all the cablesss. I have headache to keep the cable as neatly as possible. Ish~~~
But it's all pay-off! Now I'm sitting comfortably on my bed blogging!!! mahahahahahaha.....
P.S: Table just cost SGD29, wireless keyboard + mouse cost SGD99 and house phone (I have yet buy a new one.. =P) roughly cost ard SGD20 - SGD40. I saved around SGD2000 - SGD3000 from my initial plan to get a Macbook. gyahahahahaha..... And the screen is definitely bigger than notebook screen... Hiahahahahah....
New gadgets I got from IT Show. I don't really need it... But well... I just successfully convince myself that I NEED wireless keyboard and mouse... *blush*
